In general terms, a television producer oversees the making of television programs. A producer initiates, plans, coordinates, supervises and controls all aspects of the television production process, including creative, financial, technological and administrative facets. The producer will be involved throughout all phases of production from inception to completion, including coordination, supervision and control of all of the various talents and crafts, subject to the provisions of their collective bargaining agreements and personal service contracts.
